About Schmidt Custom Floors

Established in 1968 by Robert Schmidt, our company is now in its third generation of the Schmidt family. Tim Schmidt continues operating the company with the same values. Schmidt Custom Floors has become the premier supplier and installer of flooring products in the metro Milwaukee, Madison, and surrounding suburbs of WI. What started out in Robert’s garage as a humble small business installing, sanding, and finishing wood floors has grown into a full-service flooring company with over 100 installers who specialize in residential, commercial, and athletic flooring of all types. Robert and his wife Ruth never imagined how big the business would grow. Their son, Tim and his wife, Andrea, daughter, Tina Satterfield and husband, Jeff have worked years in the business. Their third son, Barry and his wife, Alyssa, have their own flooring company, Schmidt Custom Floors in Loveland, CO. Some of Roberts grandchildren and extended family members have all contributed to the atmosphere and growth of the company.
